Been Soo Busy...

I am currently working on 2 projects and haven't been doing all that much else.

  • I am designing a cookbook to be sold as a fundraiser for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, in my brother's name. Mike passed away last September due to injuries sustained during an automobile accident. If you'd like to know more about his journey, you can go to http://sewcrafty-mikesprogress.blogspot.com/. With the help of a close friend, I am finishing it up and we will be starting to selling them in the next few months. This is a huge project and it has a lot of time, energy and love put into it. I'll post more detail when I can.
  • I also am designing a brochure for an organization I am member of. It is called With A Little Help, and it really brings my spirits up when I join them on their camping and recreational activities. They expand recreational opportunities for adults with muscular dystrophy by providing an annual week long summer camp, weekend camps and various other recreational activities throughout the year. We are always looking for campers and volunteers-- if you are in the Wisconsin area and are interested, email me.
As far as life, it has been pretty low key... I hate winter so I hibernate and I've been starting to plan fun stuff to do but that's months away.... lol

Holidays....

Fun times.... umm it was an interesting christmas! I love my family-- I really do but it can be a bit much sometimes! I had 16 people (including me) here and depending on the day 1-2 people sleeping over for 3 days. It wasn't horrible but I was a bit overwhelmed. I guess I'm just not used to having kids around. I got some cool stuff... the major item was my new digital camera-- yay!! The one I was using created halos on everything and it really sucked. I got other stuff too but it is too much to list! That was Christmas in a nutshell.

Then my friend visited me and stayed through the New Year. We picked up a friend and then drove 2.5 hours to see my friends and their new place. We had sooo much fun! It was great until some drunk guy kept hitting on me... it was interesting for sure! It was still my best New Year's because I usually stay in or have a party up in my apartment... Anyways hope yours was fun as well!

Yesterday was my annual Christmas party for my extended family. I wasn't looking forward to it for a few reasons.
  • I knew they would ask how we were doing (my 23 year old brother passed away in Sept.)
  • I have to see people my age already married and pregnant-- (two of my 2nd cousins' wives are expecting) while I am still single
  • Most of the people their either are older or younger than me (or I don't really know)
  • We have to drive 1.5-2 hours to get there
I guess it wasn't too bad... it's like a Secret Santa gift exchange and I got a bottle of liquor (Wide Eyed Cherry Bomb to be specific) and $25 in cash! I also got to meet my 15 year old cousin's girlfriend! All I can say is he was awfully brave to bring her... lol It was just a long day....

I am looking forward to Saturday though... my friends are hopefully coming over and I can give out presents because I haven't seen some of them for quite awhile! I guess that's all for now!

Hi There!

This is my first post but I really hope to actually hope to keep up with it! I am a 26 year old woman living in Wisconsin, and I do freelance graphic design. I might post projects from time to time or just my thoughts and feelings. I sell personalized address labels on eBay and make CD clocks. If you are interested in them let me know or click on the link.

I am otherwise getting ready for a crap load of people coming to my one bedroom apartment for Christmas Day! My mom planned it all and told me.... lol! It's crazy!! We'll see how this goes but anyway hope you all have a great Christmas! Here are some pictures of my projects:
